Blue Moon Water & Geothermal specializes in Geothermal heating and cooling systems. However, our heating and cooling options do not end there. You can also contact us for more information on electric furnaces and boiler systems, in-floor heating, air conditioners and ductless split systems. Blue Moon Water & Geothermal is your one-stop shop for electric heating and cooling solutions including duct installation.
Heating
Geothermal
Geothermal is the direct use of geothermal energy for heating and cooling applications. Geothermal energy originates from the heat retained within the earth since the formation of the planet and from solar energy absorbed at the earth’s surface. We provide our customers with GeoSmart heat pumps and technology. Click to find out more information on Blue Moon Water & Geothermal’s green energy solutions!
Electric Furnaces
An electric furnace is an efficient option to a traditional gas furnace. They also tend to be more cost-effective at the time of purchase! Not to be forgotten, a huge benefit to an electric furnace is the elimination of a gas line into your home. No gas line means no risk of carbon monoxide! Electric furnaces are incomparably clean—they produce no soot or smoke. They are also extremely versatile: for complete comfort, add air conditioning, a power humidifier, or an electronic air cleaner as desired. SHHHHH—they also have a very quiet operation… the only moving part, the blower, is specially mounted and balanced for optimal quiet operation. They are also CSA-approved for use in mobile homes.
Electric Boilers
Electric boilers are an interesting option for those wanting a greener energy source. They are excellent in tight spaces, as they are very compact, and don’t require a flue so they can be located anywhere, even on an inside wall! They are also a silent option, as they do not burn any fuel. Again, no gas line equals no carbon monoxide! Our Concepts boilers are perfect for both new installations or as a replacement for existing systems. As the elements are top-mounted, the boiler itself can be mounted on either the wall or on the floor—it can go wherever you need it. An electric boiler is an excellent choice for all types of heating systems: radiant floor, radiators, baseboard, indirect water heating, and unit heaters.

In-Floor Heating
In-floor heating is an excellent option for heating your home or work space. This option can be used for basements, new home construction, garages and shops. It can be paired with either a geothermal unit or an electric boiler. Radiant floor heating has been the system of choice in many parts of Europe for quite some time. In a building with a radiant floor heating system, the entire floor acts as a heat source for the room. Not to be overlooked is the added comfort of having a warm and toasty floor! In residential applications, occupants in a space feel comfortable with lower air temperatures if their feet are warm. Typically the space will feel comfortable with air temperatures as low as 65°F (18°C)—talk about cost savings! The energy savings in a building with floor heating can range from 20 – 40% over traditional forced air systems. Temperatures in a forced air system also tend to be more uneven than in a radiant floor system (see diagram).

Ductless Split System
Window-mounted air conditioning systems are no longer the only options for homes without ducting. A ductless split system is a great option for homes with no existing duct work. With our KoolKing ductless split system, one outdoor unit can power up to four different indoor units simultaneously. Each room (zone) operates independently. People in different rooms—the kitchen, master bedroom or living room—can enjoy temperature settings that make each of them comfortable.
Central Air Conditioning
This is the best option for homes with existing ventilation and duct work. Just install the outdoor compressor and tie it in!
Other Services
Duct Work Packages
Blue Moon Water & Geothermal installs ducting for new home builds, or for old home retrofits that want to go with a geothermal unit or electric furnace. No ducting? No problem!
HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator)
A heat recovery ventilator (HRV) is the proper choice in colder climates where there is excess humidity during the heating season, since it can eliminate that excess humidity. The HRV keeps your home supplied with a steady flow of fresh outdoor air. As stale, warm air is expelled, the heat recovery core warms the incoming fresh, colder air before it is distributed throughout the home.
ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator)
The energy recovery ventilator (ERV) is suitable for colder climates, in homes where there is no humidity excess during the heating season, as well as for warmer climate homes with high outdoor humidity. In air conditioned homes, when it is more humid outside than inside, the ERV limits the amount of humidity coming into your home. For homes using a humidifier, with low humidity levels in winter, the ERV limits the amount of humidity expelled from your home.
